CELEbrating black Excellence

The Black Creativity program has been a perennial staple at the Museum of Science and Industry since 1970. 2014 saw a refocusing of the program to emphasize empowering kids in the fields of innovation, inspiration and big ideas. With that came the fresh and new Black Creativity Innovation Studio. The design promotes tackling big problems with big ideas. Children are invited into a space that is bright, comfortable and most importantly fun. STEM programming can feel like another classroom and it was a conscious effort to make the Innovation Studio feel open and playful, like anything is possible.

In celebration of the hand-crafted innovation made by the attendees of the Innovation Studio, most of the exhibit fabricated using in-house materials at the Museum of Science and Industry.
